In My Own WordsThis is my website and I'm not going to pretend that someone else is writing a bio on me. I don't wish to be pretentious so what you get is honest and from the heart. Here are a few pointless bits of trivia for those of you who are interested in such things.

I was born and raised in Vancouver B.C. Canada. A beautiful city. I like it here. Even the long rainy winters don't bother me because god is in the rain as well. I play guitar and bass and a bit of piano and I do my best at singing as well. I have played in a few bands, always all original, and was always the main song writer. I've had a few songs played on both college and commercial radio. I have a university degree as a composer and my favorite albums are Sgt. Peppers, Abby Road, Dark Side Of The Moon, Night At The Opera, Crime Of The Century, Zepplin 4, Thriller, Synchronicity, Gaucho, and OK Computer to round off the top 10. Yes I like my artsy rock, or perhaps I like rock artsy!

Speaking of rock, in my opinion it has gone everywhere, done everything and there is very little new it can do. The rehashed tripe that droozles out of commercial radio these days is just second rate boring corporate cheese with very few exceptions. The pop stations are even worse. Some of the ridiculous contrived pap they are spewing out makes me incredulous with wonder. Do people actually take this stuff seriously? So yes Rock is dead and most pop is beneath juvenile in its idiocy. Having said that, there are many very talented groups and individuals out there making new music. One has only to surf through myspace to find all sorts of cool stuff. .

I call my music Progressive Pop and though it may not be entirely ground breaking at the moment, it is representative of where I am at now in my musical tastes. My songs have a certain intensity and urgency to them. These songs are not meant to be easy listening. I combine rich textures with intricate intertwining melodies and motifs. For the serious listener there are many in-depth layers of orchestration to explore. Lyrically I write about deeper issues such as spirituality, sociopolitical issues, and yes the unavoidable sex and romance issues that are so much a part of us all..

So I hope you enjoy this first full release that is totally mine. There is something for everyone here. Remember, do it with El-Oh-Vee-Eee, Love. Be good to yourselves and each other.
